Three days live entertainment & shows @ Food Truck Carnival
Pioneer Park in Gawler is an open space of beauty where people can walk, exercise, rollerskate and enjoy nature's paradise. The land was originally allocated as the town's public cemetery with the first burial recorded on 10 January 1847 as that of two-year-old Ellen Fielding. Health issues promoted its closure and headstones removed and relocated to Gawler Cemetery in Willaston. A stone cairn was then erected at the entry of Pioneer Park to honour the names of those buried within. Today, the name of the park reminds us of the town's heritage and the people who made it what it is today.

Over the weekend of 27 to 29 November 2020, Pioneer Park will come alive with the return of the Food Truck Carnival. Times for each day's event are Friday 5.00pm to 9.00pm, Saturday 11.00am to 9.00pm and Sunday 11.00am to 8.00pm. As entry is free on each day, you can choose one or all three days to attend.
Over the three days, patrons can expect over twenty of South Australia's scrumptious food trucks preparing mouthwatering meals and snacks, live music, carnival rides, competitions, market stalls, kid's games and activities and a fully licensed bar. A silent disco and a free outdoor movie will be shown Friday and Saturday, while on Sunday entertainment will showcase a comedy show, local talent show and laser show.
Do not forget to bring a blanket, camping chairs, hat and sunscreen, so you can sit back and relax as a family or girl's day out to enjoy the end of Spring festivities in Pioneer Park.
