Everyone loves a buffet, so why not choose Food Star as your next restaurant experience with the whole family?

With plenty of seats and tables to spare, Food Star is my most favourite restaurant of all time. The food is always hot, tasty and fresh, it keeps me coming back for seconds, thirds and sometimes fourths.

Food Star offers wide range or food (mainly Chinese) for all, the foods are different during lunch hours and dinner hours. There is roast lamb, chicken, nuggets, chips, battered fish, steamed fish, fried rice, prawns, lasagne, vegetarian pizza, chicken drumsticks, chicken curries and lots more. Food may vary from diner to diner but the majority of it is the same.

Food Star in Frankston has a mini kids room with seats and a Disney or Pixar film always playing, in case the kids get bored and want something to do.

There is a very happy atmosphere in Food Star and the staff are always lovely and happy to greet people. They even bring out a little muffin or cake with a birthday candle, and the song "Happy Birthday" plays throughout the restaurant when it's somebodies birthday. I had it happen to me before and it was quite surprising, but my friends asked the receptionist and they did it.

The best thing about Food Star is you can get up as many times as you want and grab as much food as you like. I also like how fast the chefs are at bringing out more food when the trays get empty.

My favourite food at Food Star is the steamed fish, its so fresh and tasty; I recommend it to everyone who goes there.

Another great thing about Food Star is that there isn't really a line you have to wait in, because the food areas aren't really all next to each other. It makes it easier to just get up, get what you want then sit back down.

There's also a bar that you can order drinks at.

Food Star is a great restaurant with excellent and quick service. The food is delicious and you'll definitely want to go back. There is entertainment for the kids and enough room for everybody and you are not seated close with people you don't know.

Try out Food Star, you won't regret it.

For those of us living in the north, Highlands Hotel in the new part of Craigieburn is excellent. Reasonably priced buffet with huge variety of sweet n savoury dishes. Food is really fresh and the staff take your finished plates away quickly. Best to book for Friday & Sat nights. Suprisingly posh decor...not budget suburban at all.

I went to Food Star recently and thought it was awful! Perhaps they were just having an off day when I went, but most of the food did not taste fresh at all.
