Cooking your own food is a very useful skill to have. It will help you to save money from dining out and ensure that the dishes you eat cater to your dietary requirements. From the 23rd of August to the 23rd of September, participants can learn how to cook their own inexpensive and healthy dishes at the Parafield Children's Centre in Parafield Gardens.

Topics covered include understanding food groups, safe food preparation, cooking techniques and knowing serving sizes. You also have the opportunity to tastes the results of your labours. Kids don't have to worry about missing out either; parents are free to bring their kids along to join in on the fun.
