Foodies rejoice! The Curated Plate , Visit Sunshine Coast and Sunshine Coast Council are very proudly hosting a three day food fair for the senses, The Food Fair at Black Swan Park in Cotton Tree. Food lovers will 'see', 'touch', 'sip', 'smell' and 'taste' the best of what the Sunshine Coast region has to offer, showcasing local businesses and producers with FREE and ticketed masterclasses; cooking demonstrations and talks from interstate and local guest chefs. Pull out the calendars and diarise your dates in foodie heaven!



MASTERCLASSES | FRIDAY 9 AUGUST

The Food Fair at Black Swan Park's Masterclasses will be introduced by Sunshine Coast local, Kim McCosker, the Australian author of '4 Ingredients' . All Masterclasses will be held in an intimate space with guests sampling, tasting and learning, all under the expert guidance of local businesses, producers and chefs. Spaces for the Masterclasses are limited to twenty-four people per session, with seating provided. Please note that some Masterclasses may be only for over 18's. Early booking is highly recommended to avoid disappointment.

Chris will be bringing his passion for food and flavours to deliver a masterclass showcasing Pomodora's signature dressing, Hum Honey Rosemary Apple Balsamic Dressing, in a dish paying tribute to his British upbringing.

Darren and Clayton delve into the importance of sourcing local produce; utilising trusted suppliers from the community; sustainability practices ; how seasonal produce plays a part in their own restaurants and how this ties in with their experiences at The Curated Plate.

Matt Stone, co-Executive Chef of Oakridge Wines in Victoria will participate in a forty-five minute mystery box challenge, inspired by local produce from the Sunshine Coast region.

Alanna Sapwell, Head Chef of ARC Dining and Wine Bar in Queensland, will showcase the finger lime in an unexpectedly 'sweet' 45 minute cooking demonstration. Jade King of Green Valley Fingerlimes will join Alanna Sapwell in this demo.

British born chef Nelly Robinson , aka the head chef and owner of nel. in Sydney will be showcasing local produce in a 45 minute 'fish pie' inspired demonstration. Nelly's Sunshine Coast inspiration for his Fish Pie demo is derived from his British background.

Joel Valvasori-Pereza, chef and owner of Lulu La Delizia in Western Australia , will show off some local produce in this FREE 45 minute 'pasta inspired' cooking demo.

International chef Zaiyu Hasegawa from 'Den', the number one restaurant in Tokyo, Japan, will demonstrate his creative and artistic culinary techniques on local Sunshine Coast produce.



**Chase Kojima | Fish Skillery with Walker Seafoods Australia

Chase Kojima is the Executive chef and founder of Sokyo in Sydney and Kiyomi at The Star Gold Coast. Chase will exhibit his fine dining craftsmanship, using some of Australia's finest seafood produce from Walker Seafoods Australia.
