Feast on Fonda Favourites
Fonda Mexican, providers of tasty Mexican food from nine Fonda casas across Melbourne and Sydney, has launched a new concept that will help you breeze through the upcoming Christmas party season. Fonda's slogan is mi casa su casa, - literally 'my house is your house' - but this latest idea means you can enjoy their great food anywhere.

Can't decide? We tried the:

Tortilla crisps

Chipotle mac & cheese croquettes

Chicken taquitos, and

A selection of empanadas.

I tried (from left to right) the croquettes, taquitos and empanadas, as well as the tortilla crisps (not pictured). (Writer's image.)

The choice of these for me was the chicken taquitos. My partner's top vote went to the croquettes.

What particularly impressed us was that all the dishes had retained their crispness. The taquitos were beautifully crisp, as they should be! The empanadas were fresh out of the oven and just being boxed as I arrived to pick them up.

All dishes bar the tortilla crisps could easily be picked up and eaten with one hand, making them ideal 'finger food'. The (excellent) house-made pico de gallo and guacamole that accompanied the tortilla crisps came in separate small portion containers that would perhaps be shared between two people, which, while helping to ensure the tortilla crisps stayed, well, crisp, it does mean they need to be served on a table or other surface (or transferred to a single dish before being served).

So if you want to take the stress out of your upcoming function, or just want to do something a bit different for a home or office event this year, keep Fonda in mind! Click here for more information about Fonda Catering.
