We headed to Port Macquarie for the long weekend. Having 3 kids with us, I was looking for an apartment rather than a hotel/resort. After scanning multiple sites I came across Flynns on Surf Beach Villas. The reviews were fantastic and went ahead to book the apartment for a 2 night stay - and we were not disappointed.
We reached at 5pm when the reception was closed but accessing the keys to the apartment was quite easy. They were in a safe and each person is given a pass code to access the safe and collect keys.
All Flynns on Surf villas are spacious 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms which they can lock up to make it a 1, 2 or 3 bedroom apartment. It's located at a stone's throw away from the famous Flynns Beach. The town centre is only about 5-7 minutes by car and the tourist attractions are not very far off either. Each villa comes with a full kitchen (with good quality and well maintained appliances), patio, garage and laundry room with washing machine and dryer. The lounge room and kitchen have timber floorboards. It has a 50" wall mounted TV with Austar connection. The bedrooms are small and split across ground and mezzanine level but again very well maintained and with sparkling white linen! The sofa is huge and very comfortable - big enough for an entire family. Free WiFi is also provided though that's a little slow.
The property is clean and very well maintained. It has a nice little play area for children and a small but clean and heated swimming pool. There is a BBQ facility by the poolside for those wanting to camp by the pool area. These villas are spread across either side of the private street. Some villas open up to the woods which is a very welcoming view.
What more can you ask for when you are looking for a relaxing holiday and a home away from home. This is the perfect accommodation for not just families but even for couples or large groups wanting to relax and enjoy in tranquil surroundings.
Book in advance to get a good deal! I would definitely rebook this property if I were to go to Port Macquarie again.
