Witchcliffe can be found about 9 minutes outside of Margaret's River. The name originates from the Witchcliffe caves recorded by a surveyor in the 1900s.

Witchcliffe is a small town, however, in recent times there have been some major developments. It has the potential to become a tourist destination, with many vendors using the name to their advantage.

We have been through this area several times. Like many, we vowed to stop and explore shops but found ourselves eager to get to our destination. This time, however, we made a point to stop and investigate. I am glad we did.

The Flying Wardrobe was our primary reason for stopping. Apart from a quaint name, the shop itself presented an attraction that piqued our curiosity.

Displayed outside are several vintage items for travellers to view. This is only the beginning of a trip down memory lane.

Inside is an array of vintage items which will take you back several years. From typewriters to crockery dating back to the 60s, there is plenty to see and explore. My personal favourite was the telephone.

The service was outstanding. One could browse without being hassled with "Can I help you". Arguably, this meant we stayed longer than anticipated and left with a few items which were not on our original budget list. Overall, the experience was historical and enjoyable.

If you are travelling in this area and enjoy vintage items, then I recommend that you don't fly past. Rather stop, step back in time and enjoy the journey.
