Have you ever wondered what it feels like to fly like a trapeze artist? Have your children expressed interest in running away to join a circus? Here is a chance for you and your kids to find out what it's like to be a trapeze artist and experience an unforgettable adventure.
Learn to swing, flip and catch your way through a series of manoeuvres, all supervised by professional trapeze artists.
Following a safety briefing, you will learn the basic position on a low practice bar and, in the safety of a harness, will progress to the flying trapeze, ready for your first swing.
Before you have a chance to say "Oh My Gooodddd", you will be amazed how quickly you master the knee-hang, the back flip to the net and, finally, the catch.
This experience is suitable for those aged 5 – 85 and weighing less than 110kg.
The workshop takes approximately 1.5 hours; you get a minimum of 5 swings during your class.
You should wear comfortable clothes such as workout pants and tops. Pants should be long enough to cover your knees. It is also recommended that you wear sunscreen on the day.
The cost of a casual class is $60, but if you would like to accelerate your current skills and train regularly, purchase a frequent flyer pack: $225 for 5 classes, $380 for 10 classes, or $495 for 15 classes.
During summer, classes run every Saturday and Sunday at 9.30am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 4.30pm; and Monday to Friday at 12pm and 3.30pm.
Your ticket also includes all-day entry to the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre and parking in P2 for 4 hours. Just make sure you get your ticket validated on entry to the Aquatic Centre.
