After spending a week stuck at home with a toddler with an ear infection, I was very eager to hand my kids over to a babysitter and slip away to enjoy a Flowing Brunch at Market & Co with my husband. Market & Co is a restaurant located at Crown Perth known for its wide range of tasty dishes and relaxed and comfortable dining atmosphere.

We were guests at Market & Co to review their French-inspired Flowing Brunch which is held every Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 1pm. Market & Co is offering two brunch packages. For $69 per person, you can enjoy a mixed viennoiserie basket to share, a choice of main course, and two hours of flowing beverages including selected cocktails, handpicked wines, beers, tea, coffee, and juices. A non-alcoholic brunch option is available for $49 which includes the same starter and selection of mains and comes with two hours of flowing tea, coffee, and juices. Oh la la! Begin your meal with a mixed viennoiserie basket of delicious pastries

I really enjoyed the viennoiserie basket that we were given to start with. It had something for everyone. It contained a selection of baked goods and pastries that were very delicious. There was an apple and cinnamon scroll that was very tasty, a custard tart, a chocolate chip Danish and a couple of croissants. What a lovely way to start a meal. I like the croissants the best.

I chose a refreshing classic Mimosa to compliment my meal

We were having the $69 brunch so I decided to order a Mimosa. I've never had a mimosa before so I was eager to try one. A mimosa is a cocktail that typically consists of chilled orange juice and sparkling wine. It came in a tall champagne flute with a wedge of orange. It was a very refreshing drink. It was very sweet and had a tangy bite to it. I liked that the wine did not overwhelm the orange juice. I thought that the two ingredients complemented each other well. It was a very pleasant drink to have at brunch.

I really liked the service that we received at Market & Co. We never had to raise our hand to wave over a waiter once. The staff were friendly and checked on us and everyone else dining in the restaurant at regular intervals which we really liked. We didn't have to wait very long for our food and drinks to arrive after we ordered. After we received our dishes, the staff kept coming back to re-fill our glasses with water, asking us how we liked our food and kept asking us if we wanted to order more drinks. We were very impressed.

Who doesn't love some delicious French Toast at a brunch?

I really liked the wide range of options for mains on the menu. My eyes lingered on the Pork Belly Egg Benedict and I came close to ordering a Salmon Poke Bowl. My husband ordered French Toast which came with toasted brioche bread, bacon, berry compote, whipped vanilla bean cream and maple syrup. When the waiter delivered his dish I was impressed with the plating and how decadent it looked. I had a bite of the toast and was surprised by how much it tasted like bread and butter pudding. It had buttery golden edges and a custard-tasting interior. My husband was happy with French Toast and told me it was a pleasant mix of savoury and sweet.

I was very happy with the Nasi Goreng that I chose for my main

For my main, I ordered Nasi Goreng which came with a fried egg, spicy prawn fried rice, prawn crackers, sliced cucumber and tomato, char-grilled chicken satay kebabs, and a side of ground peanut sauce. There was no part of this meal that I didn't like. I got started on the fried egg at first and was delighted to discover that there were prawns underneath it. The kebabs were coated in a thick sticky sauce and were very delicious. The spicy rice had a nice kick to it and was nicely paired with the cool bite of the cucumber and sliced tomato. I had fun drizzling peanut sauce over the rice and dipping prawn crackers into it.

We really enjoyed our Flowing Brunch at Market & Co. The staff were friendly, the food was great, the service was very good, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. I would definitely go back there again.
