A delightful coffee shop in a lovely setting
Flowerpot Coffee Shop is a gem of a café with a pleasant feel, friendly owners and excellent coffee. Located at the Crystal Waters Eco-Village — a lovely hinterland setting off the beaten path — proprietors and established members of the Crystal Waters community, Ally and Flynn have created a fun, relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
When I asked Ally why she chose the name Flowerpot Coffee Shop she replied that she liked the rhythm and fun sound of the name, and she loves flowers in pots. I like this added touch of whimsy, and what's not to love about flower pots!
Flowerpot Coffee Shop exhibits an eclectic range of art and crafts produced by artists from the Eco-Village for sale
Flowerpot Coffee Shop is a cosy nook inside, with doors opening out to the Village Deck and Village Green; the social hub's of the Eco-Village. The Village Deck and Green are spacious, relaxing areas for lively times with friends, or just being on your own. There is a playground with ample space for children to run and play.
My coffee was delicious, made by experienced barista Ally, and I was pleased to learn they serve coffee produced by the multi-award winning Montville Coffee Company on the Sunshine Coast who are fair-trade and organic coffee producers.
The menu offers lovely homemade desserts, an all-day breakfast, which includes sourdough bread made by Crystal Waters sourdough bakery (which is really good bread!), Maleny pies and rolls, a fair-trade and organic coffee and tea selection, smoothies, and fruit sorbets.
So, if you're ever in the area with a hankering for great coffee or food, or would like to experience the Crystal Waters Eco-Village community spirit and lovely hospitality, pay Flowerpot Coffee Shop a visit. I'm sure this delightful cafe will win you over.
