Writer and freelance graphic designer. Having fun exploring this beautiful city of ours!

Right from the car park the Flower Power Garden Centre at Enfield promises to impress - it's filled with interesting statues and a vast well kept garden.

We were greeted by two lion statues when passing through the front door and into a huge shop full of all the things you would expect to find in a garden store.

Out past the the first indoor area, the size of this place really starts to sink in - there are beautiful garden displays, fountains, awnings and places to explore which make this more of an experience than a shopping trip.

There are so many parts to this garden centre to look around and be inspired and it is lovely to be able to buy the plants on display.

As a nice little extra, the centre runs a cafe off to the side of the main entrance, and in keeping with the theme of opulence running through the place this cafe is decked out with a water feature, an aviary with cockatoos and another little garden which is perfect for supervised play if you have children.

The week we went they were even running free gardening classes for children, but it would be best to check the website for more details.
