Hanging Around the Greenhouse
The Southern Vales is the home of beautiful beaches and a plethora of excellent wineries and restaurants. There is also a host of vibrant cafes to choose from, but none can boast being created in a flower nursery. The folks at Flower Cellar Door had the concept of bringing the combination of fresh flowers and a cafe to their market property and it's a winner for everyone.
Fresh Flowers at Market Prices Flower Cellar Door is a family run flower shop and café which sell fresh cut flowers directly from the farmer at market prices. There are freshly cut bouquets of bright coloured blooms, lisianthus, sunflowers and indoor potted plants.

Spacious and Unique Greenhouse Cafe The café features spacious lawned areas and gardens with well-attended birdbaths. On seeing coffee being delivered to a greenhouse I assumed it was for a worker, on viewing I found a whole new area of seating. This is the first time I have ever witnessed a café space inside a greenhouse, there will be no problems keeping warm in here.
Stormy the dog is delightfully eager to greet everyone as they make their way to order coffee and make a selection from the delicious range of cheesecakes and sweets. For those wanting something savoury, there are plenty of gourmet toasties and croissants to choose from, all are excellent value. All coffee cups, cutlery and lids are compostable. I can recommend the halloumi, mushroom and onion toastie as moreish, healthy and tasty.
Rural Location As this is a market café it is situated in a market location in Whites Valley, just outside of Willunga. It may be a little out of the way, but it is worth putting this market cellar door and café on your wish list. It contains two of my favourite things, flowers and coffee, so you can't go too far wrong.
