An underused beach close to Perth city
Floreat Beach is one of those beaches that seems relatively unknown. It doesn't attract big crowds like Scarborough or Cottesloe yet it has everything for a great family day out.

Main entrance to carpark

A large grassed playground area with sun sails is behind the cafe. Called The Kiosk, it is more than just an ordinary kiosk. It can provide for all your coffee and food needs or bring your own picnic hamper.

There is a good sized parking area in front of the Surf Life Saving Club, which has a free sand volleyball pit provided.

Then it's just a few metres' walk down to the white sands that appear to go on forever.

If you head southwards there is a series of small groynes that you can explore.

Towards City Beach

So next time you are looking for somewhere you haven't visited try Floreat Beach and you will want to come back again.
