Floating Melodies incorporates a range of themed cruises throughout the year and brings various cultural experiences together. Cruise the waters of Adelaide while enjoying the sound of live music and indulging in local produce matched with wine from South Australia's very own and stunning regions.
On Sunday 1 July 2018, Floating Melodies brings Myth and Music. At 4 pm, board The Clipper Ship City of Adelaide at Port Adelaide for a Nordic adventure of myth and music and be greeted with a glass of mead of Chateau Dorrien Winery. Through music, hear ancient tales of the frozen north. This celebration of Icelandic culture from ancient Vikings to modern day will tell tales of the old gods – Odin, Thor, Freya and Loki.
The world's oldest clipper, The Clipper Ship City of Adelaide was built in Sunderland, England in 1864 and was used to transport passengers and goods such as wool and copper between Britain and England for 23 years.
During your cruise, you will enjoy the delights of a Viking menu such as a Root Casserole with Barley Bread and Honey-Glazed Hazelnuts. Extra beverages can be purchased on board and dietary requirements can be catered if advised at time of booking.
