Located at 37 Gray Street, Hughenden, you can easily spend 1 to 2 hours browsing the amazing collection at Flinders Discovery Centre. Hughenden is an outback town in the north west of Queensland, about 385km from Townsville through the Flinders Highway.



Flinders Discovery Centre is an accredited visitor information centre with friendly staff that not only can assist you with things around this centre but also in planning your itinerary while you are travelling in this region.





From 'Hughie" - a life-size skeletal replica of a Muttaburrasaurus – to an amazing exhibition of fossils from around the world, "Shearing the Stragglers" that tells the story of the demise of the sheep industry throughout the Flinders Shire to an amazing display about hardship and changes around this area from 1865 to present day times.
