Get there early for a good spot and some pre-movie entertainment



Summer school holidays are here and to kick the festive season off, Coolum Business & Tourism , Salty Saturdays Coolum Beach and Sunshine Coast Music and Events are proud to be showcasing The Grinch (G), a very special Christmas movie for the start of the 2024/2025 season.



The Grinch is a cranky, solitary creature who lives alone with his loyal dog inside a cave on Mount Crumpet. Grinch’s main source of annoyance comes over the Christmas period when his neighbours in Whoville celebrate the holidays in great style. When the town decides to make Christmas bigger and brighter, the disgruntled Grinch realises there is only one way to gain peace and quiet. With help from Max, his dog, the green grump hatches a plan to pose as Santa Claus to steal Christmas gifts and decorations from the homes of the nearby town of Whoville on Christmas Eve.



Coolum community and holidaymakers are all encouraged to arrive early, bring a picnic blanket and some chairs, find the perfect spot and settle in to enjoy some live music and face painting before the commencement of the movie. Raid the piggy bank, there will be hot dogs, snacks and sweets available to purchase - all adding to that authentic movie experience!

Screening will commence around 6.30 pm, as soon as the sun goes down.
