The 22nd Flickerfest International Short Film Festival will be held this summer at Bondi Pavilion on Bondi Beach, from Friday January 11 to Sunday January 20. It is Australia's only competitive International Short Film Festival and includes entries from Australia and around the world. You can be sure the quality will be good - the festival has received Academy Award accreditation.
The list below includes all the different session that will take place each day (visit the website for more information on the films that will be screening in each).
Friday January 11: An Opening Night Screening and Party will be held in the evening on the first day, from 9.00pm. It will feature a selection of the festival's best shorts, including the world premiere of The Captain, as well as Lois and Suspended.
After the screenings, the Opening Night party will start at the festival bar, with food and beverages, an appearance by world-renowned Elvis Presley tribute artist Jacqueline Feilich, and DJ Stephen Ferris. Tickets to this event cost $65.00.

Tuesday January 15: Best of Documentary 2 will run at 6.45pm and Best Of International 2 at 9.00pm.
Wednesday January 16: Flicks For Citz will run at 4.30pm, Best Of Australian 4 at 6.45pm and Best Of International 4 at 9.00pm.
Thursday January 17: A repeat of FlickerKids (which played on Sunday January 13) will take place at 2.30pm, while Best Of Australian 5 will run at 6.45pm and Best Of International 4 at 9.00pm. Another repeated sessions, this time Best Of Australian 3 from Monday January 14, will also run at 4:30pm.
Friday January 18: Best of Documentary 1 will run at 4.30pm and Best Of International 5 at 6.45pm. There will also be two repeated sessions - Best Of Australian 4, from Wednesday January 16, which will run at 4:30pm, and Short Laughs Comedy, a repeat of the session on Saturday January 12, which will run at 9.00pm.
On Friday, FlickerLab will also be running from 10.00am to 5.00pm. This event will allow filmmakers access to the leading experts and latest knowledge and trends available across the film industry today. It costs $50.00 tot attend. Saturday January 19: The FlickerUp School Shorts Final will run at 2.30pm, Celebrity Shorts at 6.45pm and Viva Las Elvis at 9.00pm. There will also be another chance to see Best Of Australian 5, from Thursday January 17, at 4:30pm.

Sunday January 20: The sessions on the final day are GreenFlicks Environmental Shorts 1 at 12.30pm, GreenFlicks Environmental Shorts 2 at 2.30pm and From The Oscars, a repeat of the session on Saturday January 12, at 4:30pm.
There will also be the Flickerfest Awards to look out for on Sunday. They will start 8.00pm and be followed by screenings of some of the winning films, with a closing night party afterwards. Tickets to this event cost $50.00.
All Flickerfest sessions will run for approximately 100 minutes. The 2.30pm 4.30pm and 6.45pm sessions will all be screened in the indoor theatre, while the 9.00pm sessions will be in the outdoor amphitheatre (unless it rains).
