It's that time of year again – frantic February and mad March. But if you don't feel like battling the hectic pace in Adelaide city this month, think about heading South and getting your culture kick on the Fleurieu Peninsula.

The City of Onkaparinga and some dedicated local businesses have brought the Fringe to laid-back Port Noarlunga, where a plethora of talent will feature in Sauerbier House Culture Exchange on the banks of the Onkaparinga River.



It will feature performances from a diverse range of artists, such as The Ukelele Death Squad, with their crazy blend of Flamenco, folk and rap - you won't believe what they can do with a ukulele! Or perhaps some compelling blues and nifty guitar work from Cal Williams Jnr.


Maybe you'd prefer the gentle sounds of songstresses Laura Hill or Delia Olam, a taste of comedy from Idris Stanton: The Last King of Vaudeville, or R&B legend Movin' Melvin Brown, from the USA. And of course there's something for the kids – how about Bumbles the Clown, Pico's Puppet Palace or the Madhouse Circus?



There are Artisan Markets on Friday nights and Sundays with local produce, crafts, beauty products and original artworks. Sundays are also Family Day and there are lots of extra activities for the youngsters – they are sure to love the cartoon workshop, travelling farm, nature crafts and pony parties. And Friday and Sunday will only cost a gold coin for entry. BYO chairs.

An international food hub, Kay Brothers fine wines and Goodieson's beer will make sure you don't go hungry or thirsty. (No BYO alcohol).
