60 top acts across a broad range of folk, roots and blues music performing on various stages within the festival grounds


The annual Fleurieu Folk Festival was named Community Event of the year in the City of Onkaparinga's 2014 Australia Day Awards. Each year the festival selects over 60 of the best local, interstate and international folk musicians from a wide variety of genres, including traditional, acoustic, Celtic, blues, roots and bluegrass.



The festival offers has a strong New Zealand flavour to the 2014 program with the addition of The Eastern joining the stellar line up of performers.



The Eastern along with songwriter Keith Potger of the Seekers, the sister duo, The Little Stevies from Melbourne and the fantastic fiddler Marcus Holden, join the headline acts for this popular festival.

The Eastern brings an international generates an international element to the 2014 Fleurieu Folk festival.

"The fact that an international group such as The Eastern is coming to play at Willunga shows the growing appeal of our local festival," festival organiser Peter Thornton said.



Other performers on the program include Women in Docs (Qld), Warren Fahey (NSW) and Grimmick (NSW). South Australian Legend and New York Blues Hall of Fame, Chris Finnen heads an impressive local list that includes Halfway to Forth, Courtney Robb, Goldstein, Junior, The Hushes, Kaurna Cronin and many more.

Thornton said, "Our program is now finalised and we will have 60 top acts across a broad range of folk, roots and blues music performing on various stages within the festival grounds come October."

"The Fleurieu Folk Festival is recognised nationally as one of the most family-friendly and accessible festivals on the live music calendar. Audiences of all ages love it and performers love to play in it."

The program includes workshops, sessions, dancers, blackboard concerts and entertainment for children. There will be a wide selection of local food, wine and market stalls ensuring there is something for everyone.

Adult tickets are only $70 for a weekend pass (accompanied children U15 are free)
