Flashback to the Fifties

The National Trust of Australia, Queensland Branch is holding a
Flashback to the 50s - Frocks, Flicks and fabulous fun on
8 May 2019 5:00 PM 9:00 PM.

They have chosen the iconic Elizabeth St Picture Theatre to hold this event and if you have not visited, this is a wonderful opportunity to admire the interior of this building. This used to be the old Irish pub and it was exquisite in the inside, as you can see from this photo.

This image was taken from Brisbane Development who ran a feature on how the changes were made.

The new owners have preserved all the heritage features of the building and have incorporated them beautifully into a functional multiplex theatre venue which is beautiful and carefully restored.
