If you are looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life or just want to get away, Flanagan Reserve, Mt Barney, is a great location.

Upon my stay there, I found serenity. You have beautiful mornings, especially if you love to take photos, with clear views of Mt. Barney. Also, throughout the day there is a beautiful array of birds. In the summer months you may find yourself having brekky with the goannas as I did.

This place has it all. You have a basic kiosk, with umbrellas and picnic tables, you are also welcomed upon your arrival. There are amenities to accommodate you properly. With a shower in the ladies room and three stalls. Men's side is basically the same, they also have a handicap facility to accommodate.

When at Flanagan's you can go for walks around the park and greet like fellow campers, go swimming, rock hop, relax, bird watch or go on an adventure, because not far from where you are staying you can find the Lower and Higher Portals, which has breath taking views.

My experience with the staff there is delightful to say the least. They work hard to keep the place tip top. Friendly atmosphere and you will soon get the sense of being at home in nature.

Don't forget to watch the wallabies and kangaroos in the evening time, they even pose for photos.
