Spectacular views of the Coral Sea and Low Isles and the Daintree Rainforest can be enjoyed by taking the Flagstaff Hill Walking Trail.

Four Mile Beach
The 1.5km trail links Four Mile Beach and Rex Smeal Park in Port Douglas with majestic views of Four Mile Beach and the rainforest-clad mountain ranges to the south.

Mountain views
The trail can be accessed both from Rex Smeal Park and Four Mile Beach with many outlooks and viewing platforms with one proving 180-degree views to the Coral Sea, Low Isles and Snapper Island to the north.

Majestic views
The walk begins with the Low Isles Lighthouse viewing platform located on the corner where Wharf and Island Point Roads meet.

Lighthouse welcome
There are a number of wooden steps which anyone with a reasonable degree of fitness can navigate. Most of the walk is in shade but it will be hot and humid in summer.

Steps to a View
The walk from Rex Smeal Park takes you under spectacular fig trees and provides an accessible view of the Daintree mountains.

Parking is available at both Rex Smeal Park and Four Mile Beach with historic signage along the route.
