Fix St James is a cozy Modern Australian restaurant hidden along Elizabeth Street. The restaurant is owned by Stuart Knox, who won 2012 Sommelier of the year, so naturally the place has an awesome wine list to go with quality food.

For those who watch Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations, that host is obsessed with bone marrow. Fix offers an "Ode to Fergus" which is bone marrow served with bread. Definitely something not for the faint of heart and those on a fat free carb free diet. This is some heavy stuff. You have been warned.

For the more health conscious customer, Fix serves up a perfect melt in your mouth Mulloway.

For those looking for a more colourful seafood dish with a twist, there's the Saffron Risotto with Prawns and Squid Ink Crisps.

To finish off, Fix prepares a special apple crumble with malt ice cream. When it arrives at the table you'll hear a popping sound and when you taste it, you'll think you're having popping candy.

If you're looking for a low-key meal that is a little different with good wines and friendly service, check out Fix St James.
