FIVE66 is sizeable cafe almost at the junction of Flinders and Streets which is often busy with tourists taking tours to the Great Ocean Road, Yarra Valley or the famous Neighbours tour, which they seem to give away as a bonus for booking one of the other tours.
I decided to eat here as it's close to my hotel and I can still use the Hotel's wifi.
I'm a sucker for a big breakfast, and I was not let down. It came with scrambled eggs, toast, sausages, beans, mushrooms, two hash browns and a ton of bacon.
My only criticism would be that the sausages seemed to be deep fried, well one of them anyway. The others was cooked normally. At $17.50, the breakfast was reasonable for the size. It's not gourmet by any means but its satisfying.
A free coffee was included in the meal.
It's a pleasant enough place and the food is good and hearty. It is a little run down and if I had found a place to plug my laptop in I would have stayed longer and ordered more coffee. It's comfortable enough and does have some big table for groups.
