Adelaide has so many great experiences to enjoy, some of them well kept secrets. I write about how you can Live Like a Local.

Something figalicous is going on here
Got kids? Who gives a fig. Well Five Little Figs cafe does. This is a very kid friendly cafe tucked away on a suburban street. But don't let that fool you. What a hidden gem. The locals are here in droves.
Five Little Figs cafe Payneham South
I visited one wet and cold Friday morning and there was hardly a spare table. Mums and kids were enjoying being inside where it was warm and cosy. There are lots of play areas for the kids while Mum enjoys a coffee and maybe just a tiny little bit of pleasure in a cake? If you are watching your weight then maybe go for a mini muffin for $3.50. If this is a day you need to indulge there are lots of delicious looking cakes to choose from.
Treats on the menu
I had a kick start coffee and was tempted to ask the person sitting next to me if I could share their breakfast as it looked yummy. There is also a healthy foods menu for the kids. You won't have to feel guilty about what they are eating at this cafe.
Comfy outside spots to enjoy
On a sunny day there are plenty of spots to sit outside in the courtyard and enjoy some "you' time. If you are there for lunch the menu offers lots of choices with prices from $10 to $17.
Packhorse products available
If you need to do a bit of quick shopping Five Little Figs sell a range of products for kids. The budding chef can get fired up at cooking classes for kids and adults. Bookings required for these. If you have a special event coming up Five Little Figs may be the place to hold it. Take note Mums with Bubs still on the boob: you will be comfortable at Five Little Figs as they support the Breastfeeding is Welcome Here program.
