With so many Museums and galleries in Canberra, there always seem to be an exhibition or five on! So here is a list of five of those exhibitions currently on in Canberra.

Cook and the Pacific

Currently, the national library of Australia has an exhibition on exploring the three voyages that Captain Cook took to the Pacific between 1768 and 1780. During the voyages, he explored the Society Islands, New Zealand, Australia, Hawaii, and North American. Nothing was the same after.

Beauty Rich and Rare

In addition to the Cook exhibition, the National Library of Australia also has the exhibition Beauty Rich and Rare, celebrating the natural beauty of Australia. Through the eyes of Sir Joseph Banks, this light and sound show puts a spotlight on Australia's unique botanical and animal species.

Centenary of Armistice 1918-2018

To mark 100 years since Armistice, Parliament House is holding a Centenary of Armistice exhibition. It includes a 5000 poppy tribute in the marble foyer, a 100 artworks that commemorate the Armistice and a selection of pieces from the Australian National Veterans Art Museum.

All shook up

While temperatures are rising in Canberra, this exhibition at the Canberra Museum and Gallery is keeping things cool, with falling snow. Although sadly, the snow is only falling in Sally Hopman's collection of over 500 snow domes, and not in the museum itself!
