All unique and exciting
There are so many great places in Canberra to eat and drink but here is a list of five food experiences that are all a little different but also fantastic!

Doughnuts at Doughnut Department

The doughnuts at Doughnut Department are freshly made in this tiny shop, with locally sourced ingredients daily. Adding to this is the amazing array of flavours available. With flavours that are ever-changing and include the likes of lemon and coconut, Japanese yuzu, and matcha with mascarpone, you never get bored of visiting to try the wonderful new creations.

Wagyu Cheesesteak spring rolls at Lazy Su

There are so many wonderful things at Lazy Su, but my favourite thing is by far the Wagyu Cheesesteak Springroll. Every time I go, I order this and every time I'm surprised by how they get the springroll to taste exactly like a cheeseburger!

9 Lonsdale St, Braddon | Mon 5pm-11pm, Tues to Thurs 12pm - 11pm, Fri and Sat 12pm - 1am, Sun 12pm - 11pm | $6 for a Springroll

Strawberry and cream cocktail at White Rabbit

Canberra has a lot of themed bars and one of them is an Alice in Wonderland bar. The best thing about the bar is by far their themed cocktails and the small treats that come with them, especially the Strawberry and Cream cocktail which tastes exactly like the lollies it is served with!

Burger High tea at Beef and barley

I had heard of high tea and on occasion even participated in it, but I had never tried a burger high tea! The first tier consisted of popcorn chicken, chips and halloumi bites, then the second tier has a pork slider as well as a beef slider, then the final tier has sweets. Definitely different to the typical high tea!

Kingston Foreshore | Mon Closed, Tue-Thur, Sun 11:30am–8:30pm and Fri-Sat 11:30am–9:30pm | $40 pp for high tea

Eggs Benedict bar at Alter Ego

Eggs Benedict is something you see a lot on a breakfast menu, but most only have one option on the menu. However, things are different at Alter Ego, where they have a Eggs Benedict bar with five different options on their list.
