The Fitzroy Market has been a stalwart of the local Fitzroy community for the past seven years. During that time, money raised by market stallholders and patrons has been donated to the Fitzroy Primary School, Fitzroy Network and Fitzroy Market.
Held monthly, the market now boasts over 75 stalls offering everything from trash'n'treasure to handmade goods, vintage, recycled items and food. There's usually a great selection of craft, art, jewellery, books, CD's, records and household items, plants and seedlings and much more. The range is always varied and diverse. So come for a look.
The Fitzroy Market is held on the 3rd Saturday of every month with the next market on Saturday 20th August 2016 from 10am to 3pm. Following the August market dates include 17th September, 15th October, 19th November and 17th December 2016.
The Fitzroy Market is held at the Fitzroy Primary School on 319 George Street, Fitzroy (corner Chapel Street), an easy block from Brunswick Street and Smith Street. There is no onsite parking and please be aware surrounding street parking can be tricky. Trams travel down Nicholson Street and Brunswick Street. Bus is an alternate option and routes and transport numbers are available on the Fitzroy Market website.
Stallholder information is available on the website and stalls may need to be booked a couple of months in advance if current information is correct - proving the popularity of the this thriving little marketplace.
