The Melbourne leg of the Australia wide Fitness & Health Expo promises 3 days of action-packed 'fitsporation'. This year's theme, FILEX - Realising Potential is centred around networking, social and educational opportunities designed to inspire, motivate and add a few strokes of creativity to your fitness routine.

The Melbourne Fitness & Health Expo is being held over the weekend of Friday 29th April to Sunday 1st May at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

For the ultimate workout experience take a class from some of the biggest names in the business. See Shannan Ponton, Amanda Bisk, Amy Giannotti and the HIIT Mum, Colette McShane in FREE celebrity training sessions, which will include options such as a full body workout, HIIT class, Running clinic, open workout and group fitness class.

Be part of a super Guinness Book of Records attempt with HIIT Mum, Colette McShane for the most people doing Burpees together! The group must reach 2 minutes collectively and will be accompanied by a PT in MY Pocket LIVE workout. This event is being held at the Ron Barrassi Snr Park in Docklands. There is a $10 registration with all proceeds being donated to Beyond Blue. Register via the web site. Please note: Media and TV coverage will be at this event.

The Les Mills Stage will give everybody the opportunity to sample a 30 minute Les Mills class, from Body Attack to Body Combat, Grit Cardio to Sh'bam and heaps more. There will also be an opportunity to enhance your workout wardrobe at the Reebok store right next door.

Alongside the workout sessions, world-renowned fitness professional Simeon Panda will be speaking, giving valuable training tips and advice and answering all your questions. The Healthy Living Stage will also feature cooking demonstrations, and gain free nutritional tips and wellness advice from Susie Burrell, Colette McShane, Yoga Australia, Pilates Alliance Australia and more.

The Food & Refuel Zone will be chock full of healthy food alternatives to tempt your tastebuds. Food trucks include Digging for Fire BBQ, 'adventurous street food from around the world,' with a focus on cooking with fire. Snaggas Healthy Sausages, 'Fresh. Healthy. Hand crafted.' Preservative-free, low fat sausages. Refresher Truck, coffee, smoothies & iced tea. Soul Kitchen Pizza Truck with vegan, gluten-free, lactose free and a wide variety of pizza options.

Take your passion for sport to the next level in the Industry Lounge. 'Network with industry peers and gain free business advice' from the experts. The 5 designated topics include Digital and Online Marketing, Fitness Business Development, Superannuation, Direct Debit and Lending Specialists. There is no greater inspiration than seeing the result of lots of hard work. Be inspired at the Muscle and Model Stage, Powerlifting Stage, SAGE Fitness Arena or gather up some mates and compete yourself in the Spartan Race, a timed Ninja Warrior style course with over 8 obstacles designed to test power, speed and balance. The fastest racers will have the opportunity to win a share of $5,000.

The Fitness & Health Expo is running from 10am 7pm on Friday 29th April 2016, 10am 5pm Saturday 30th April, and 10am 5pm on Sunday 1st May at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, 1 Convention Centre Place, South Wharf.

Take the train to Southern Cross Station or catch the Tram to the Clarendon Street entrance of MCEC. Buses also stop at Southern Cross Station or drive and park at the MCEC.

Purchase 1, 2 or 3 day tickets either for adults, children or a family pass via the website. Purchase before 28th April and save up to 20%. Tickets range from $16 for a child (aged 12 -16 years) to $68 for a Family Pass.
