Quiet fishing spot for a keen angler
There are a few nice quiet spots around Sydney for nature lover to relax and unwind, and one of them is Patonga. It is less than 100 km away from Sydney and is not only a great option for a family day on the beach but could also be a good spot for a keen angler to try luck at fishing.

If you keep to the left from main road, you reach parking spot just infront of the beach. Left part of the beach is dog friendly as well, so you can take your four legged friend to accompany you while you try to source that mighty flathead.

You can have a beach picnic on the sand or just move around the rocky outcrop (tides permitting) to find secluded location between the rocks to assemble the rod or two.

The evening could suddenly bring a beautiful sunset, so if you happen to be in the area, do not forget your camera for that perfect sunset shot.

It is a nice place for a relaxed weekend trip for a whole family or for a couple for that special romantic picnic.
