Cast a line in a pretty place
If you like casting a line but only have an hour or two, if you live in Northern beaches and just want a relaxing hour with the rod after work, you have a place to retreat to and, hopefully, catch a flathead or two. The place is Narrabeen lakes.

There are quite a few places around the lake where you can cast a line, one of the favourite for the flatheads being at the end of the Esplanade, next to Jamieson Park Paddle. This place is dog friendly, so you can take your furry friend with you to enjoy the beauty of the lake while you are battling the decision whether you should hold the rod or the camera as some of the sunsets can produce pretty amazing colours above the lake.

As there is paddle hire in the park, the place can get very busy during the day; however, late hours are usually calm and relaxing.
