A little known area for families to enjoy the Swan River
A undeveloped park left in a natural state, where you can enjoy simple family activities in a little known area on the upper reaches of the Swan River. This description fits Fish Market Reserve, located off Swan Street in Guildford.

A quiet area which few people seem to know about makes this park, a haven away from the presure of everyday life.

Here you can go canoeing safely with the kids or fish by the banks or swim if you don't mind the murky colour of the water.

A playground is near the entrance to this reserve and a boat launch ramp is further down the park.

You can follow the river around the bend on a dirt track which leads back to the car park area. A safe environment where the kids can run around and pretend they are in a desolate bushland.

Planned in 1829 by assistant surveyor Henry Charles Sutherland as a town market for cattle, sheep, poultry and pigs but only ever used as a fish market, so the name stayed.

There is a large water pipe bridge over the river. Opposite the park is a pontoon jetty from Success Hill Reserve.
