Great food and lot os live entertainment at this Festival
The big news is that the Fish Lane Festival is back and bigger than ever! South Brisbane's best street party will return and be ready to make an appearance on 11th May from 12 noon till 10.00 pm. This year the festival will go all the way back up to Hope Street with food pop-ups lining the footpaths and more restaurants than ever participating.
Get ready to have fun with a carnival of live music, tasty food and craft beers. For one night only, Fish Lane is bringing you the best of what South Brisbane has to offer. So make sure you do not have anything else on this night. Join in the fun as you wine, dine and dance all night long!
There will be a plethora of flavoursome foods to eat. The lane will be dotted with an amazing array of gourmet food stalls from surrounding restaurants. There will be the old favourites serving their iconic street food for all as well as some new cafes that will have mouth-watering snacks.
At the event you will be able to sample:
Grass-fed vegan burgs
Fluffy steamed duck buns from Chu the Phat
Moreish honey puffs from Five Sisters Art House Cafe
DRINKS Fish Lane will have craft beer, cocktail and wine pop-up bars. The co-sponsor Colonial Brewing Co will be supplying fresh, cold beer all night long. You can buy a tall glass of frothy goodness as you wander down the laneway. If beer is not your favourite, do not worry - there will be a range of wines, cocktails and more.
DANCE Get the party started with a Saturday night boogie at Fish Lane. The event will be hosting four separate stages featuring live local music, DJ sets and more. Listen to this live music as you enjoy yourself with friends and family.
DISCOVER The precinct will have artworks curated specifically for Fish Lane. You will be able to see street art installations from renowned names like Fintan Magee, Drapl, MIMI, Sofles and many more.
As well as the assortment of vibrant paintings, there will be a number of 3D pieces including the recent addition of topiary inspired piece by Gillie & Marc.
The event will be free and will be fully licensed – minors must be accompanied by an adult. Fish Lane Festival is now in its fourth year and will continue to showcase restaurants, bars, and retailers from the precinct cementing Fish Lanes' reputation as a premier food and drink destination.
This event is presented by Colonial Brewing Co, The Fox Hotel and Aria Property Group. Fish Lane Festival is also supported by HopgoodGanim, Stratacare, RotheLowman, Mirvac, Suncorp, Hutchinson Builders, Woods Bagot and RPS.
