FireWise Demonstration Garden Official Opening

A FireWise demonstration garden has been created in Mount Barker, and you are invited to come along to its official opening. The garden features a selection of low-flammability plants. Hence, the impact of fires will be reduced in the event they occur. You'll be inspired to design your own garden that is just as beautiful.

The opening is set to take place at 100 Springs Road on Thursday the 27th of February 2025 at 10am. A FireWise and Sustainable Landscape Garden Design booklet will be launched during the opening. Incorporating principles to aid in bushfire protection, this small informative book will demonstrate how thoughtful plant selection and design can provide habitat for local fauna.
