Warm chocolate oozed over the gluten free chocolate and ginger cake, with cream on the side. A strong latte swirled with a love-heart was the right accompaniment for this comfort-food; or you might prefer chemex-filtered coffee. The cabinet has been replaced by glass covers over tempting selections, two of which were gluten free.

The breakfast menu presents a unique variety of choices including grilled winter fruits, lemongrass and chilli beans and black rice pudding.



Copper-coloured light shades hang from a shed-high ceiling, while sanded walls and firewood stored around the room creates a feeling of rusticity. A large mural of a woman adorns a besser block wall.

Firefly is a suitable location for a group or a cosy chat with a mate while receiving warm, friendly service.
