Firebringer - the musical storms its way into the Melville theatre. A newer musical that you may not be aware of, it is fun, catchy and you are going to fall madly in love with the Firebringer cast. This is the Western Australian premiere, so get in before everyone has seen this and you can't get tickets!
If you are not aware of the musical, it was created by Starkid productions in 2016. If you are familiar with TikTok or Tumblr, you will probably have seen a clip from the original performance. "I
don't really want to do the work today". If you know what that sentence means, then you have seen a part of the show already.
Firebringer is all about the history of humanity discovering fire. The tribe leader is a peaceful and hardworking woman, struggling to keep everyone together and safe. However, one of their tribe is more interested in making things easier and that is what leads to the greatest discovery ever.
This musical is opening at Melville Theatre on May 12th and runs until May 21st. There is only one matinee at 2 pm on May 15th. Tickets are only $30, and concessions are $25. The show starts at 8pm until about 10:30pm.
