An unlikely gathering of vintage objects are appearing together at Carrick Hill on Sunday 20th September 2015. Some of South Australia's oldest fire engines, displays of memorabilia and Country Fire Service heritage, including a 1950 Fire Chief's Jaguar XK120 Roadster, will combine with old tools in the garden of Carrick Hill.

Garden and Art combine in the Endless Pleasure - The Art of Gardens and Gardening exhibition which is on display at Carrick Hill from August until November. The Australian Museum of Gardening is providing an exhibition that explores how gardens and gardening have been enjoyed and experienced in Australia over the past 245 years. Artists have documented the history of gardens and the pastime of gardening. Our passion for plants and places where gardening takes place is captured in the works of the exhibition.

Australians have enjoyed the pleasure of flowers and home grown food from their gardens through nearly two and a half centuries. How trends and fashions have shaped Australian gardens is a fascinating topic to explore.

Gardening is a part of our culture and an active creative hobby in our community for nearly two and a half centuries. Through paintings, drawings, prints, books, implements and ornaments the 'Endless Pleasure' of gardening will be seen.

'Endless Pleasure' runs from Wednesday 5 August to Sunday 29 November 2015.

Carrick Hill has a café that is open 10.00am to 4.00pm. Their gift shop is open 10.00am to 4.30pm.

Visitors with impaired mobility that require a flat, close entrance have use of the service entrance at 5 Meadowvale Road, which enables them to alight adjacent to the house.
