The gardens of Brisbane's City Botanical Garden will come alive in a light of colour this Spring in the illuminating Fire Garden display. Be mesmerised as the gardens are transformed into a firey installation. Wander through the gardens past leaping flames, flickering sculptures, and fiery urns in the city's CBD gardens.
Arts Hub described the Melbourne installation as a multimedia extravaganza: a magical vision of light with ambient tunes that further underscore the eerieness of the night.
About the creators of FIre Garden Fire Garden is the creation of French artists Compagnie Carabosse and their works have been shown worldwide in iconic locations like Stonehenge, and the Russian Kremlin.
The aim of the works according to the artists is, "The battle with the elements, journeys, collaboration with others, all these drive us forwards. But our central aims stay the same: to offer a fruitful street theatre, open to everyone; to play with transforming public areas: to create a mixture of poetic and humane creation with fire in all its forms, of iron, sound, humour."
Fire Garden is part of the annual arts event – the Brisbane Festival, held each Spring. The Brisbane Festival runs for most of September with a stellar and innovative program of theatre, music, dance, circus, opera and the much-loved fireworks display - Sunsuper Riverfire.
