A wonderful experience for children who love fire engines
Do your children love the ABC children's TV show, Fireman Sam? Do they want to be firefighters when they grow up? Then come along to the Open Days at the historic Forrest Fire Station.
The Forrest Fire Station is now a museum run by the Fire Brigade Historical Society of the ACT. The Society works to preserve the heritage of firefighting in Canberra by restoring historic vehicles and cataloguing photographs relating to the provision of fire services in the region.
The Society hosts museum open days on most Saturdays from 10am-2pm. Friendly, dedicated volunteers will show you around the museum and share the wonderful history of the society.
Entry is by gold coin donation. The Museum is located on Empire Circuit, Forrest.
