Held at the huge Royal Exhibition Building at Carlton Gardens over three days, this market is not to be missed. Come along between Friday 17th to Sunday 19th July to experience it for yourself. Apart from the stunning array of stalls, it's a great way to escape the cold Melbourne winter for a few hours!
Featuring over 250 stalls showcasing a wide variety of wares, including jewellery, homewares, rugs, artworks, homemade baby clothes and more. There is something for everyone.
To keep your energy levels up while you're shopping, there is also a range of Food Trucks, 2 bars and 3 coffee stations. Local music acts will also be performing to keep you entertained.
If you went last year and remember the long queues to enter the venue, don't despair! The organisers have taken note, and now have 2 entry points to the Exhibition Building to decrease queues. They've also rearranged the layout of stalls, to improve flow throughout the venue.
Speaking of queues, there are ATM's available, but again, there are always lengthy queues. Hot tip- take some cash with you to maximise your shopping time!
A couple of gorgeous prints I picked up at last year's market
This event is very family-friendly, so bring along the kids, or meet up with friends for a great day out.
The Spring/Summer version of the market will be held on 2nd-4th October, so mark it in your diaries now. If you're crafty and interested in holding a stall, applications close 6th July. Click here for details.
