Indulge yourself at this tea-lover's nirvana
Recently re-located to the Piccadilly Centre at 210 Pitt Street, in the heart of Sydney's CBD, The Tea Centre is a mecca for tea-lovers looking for that perfect brew.
The centre has around 180 speciality teas and infusions from around the world; ranging from flavoured teas – try the 'Mumbai Chai' or 'Vanilla Chai' blends for a spicy beverage - to exotic varieties of Oolong, Green, and White teas, as well as fruit infusions, such as Berry Delicious, Just Peachy, and Lezzo Turkish Apple. Every taste appears to be catered for.

The Tea Centre was established in 1993, and has grown from its first tea store in Paddington, Sydney, to 12 outlets across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, and the ACT, as well as an online store.
Australian owned and operated since its inception, The Tea Centre sources its tea from reputable tea producers in Asia, Africa and Australia. The centre is dedicated to providing the best quality tea, and, as a member of the German Tea Association, applies a stringent code of practice for quality control to it all suppliers. It also supports ethical farming practices and quality of life for tea workers, and encourages more sustainable tea production practices and operations.
The Pitt Street branch also stocks an extensive range of accoutrements to aid in the preparation of that perfect cuppa; teapots and tea sets of varying sizes, designs and colours, infusers and strainers, tea cosies, and tea towels.

The helpful and friendly staff can assist you in identifying a brew – whether for your own consumption or as a gift – from the dizzying array of teas on offer. For the chai lover, the Mumbai Chai provides a delicious blend of subtle spices and a complex and nutty aroma. Prepared with soy, almond or rice milk and honey, it makes for the perfect winter warmer. Although technically not a tea but a bush, the Rooibos Fireside blend makes for a refreshing and robust brew, and with a very high concentration of antioxidants, provides for a detoxifying and healthy beverage.
