Research estimates that approximately 40% of all dementia is attributable to risk factors that are highly modifiable by changing our behaviours or our lifestyle habits, including low mood, poor sleep, poor heart health, and not being socially or cognitively stimulated.
The BetterBrains trial is in the final stages of recruitment and is looking for volunteers to participate in the trial, which aims to test whether a personalised lifestyle intervention program targeted at modifying risk factors for dementia can prevent thinking and memory decline in middle - to older-aged Australian adults. If randomised to the intervention, you will receive 12 months of 1:1 health coaching with an allied health professional free of charge.
BetterBrains is delivered entirely online - meaning that you can participate in the trial regardless of where you are located in Australia.
