Water sports seem to be among the more popular of Olympic events, so there is likely to be considerable interest when the FINA World Junior Diving Championships come to Adelaide from October 8-13.
More than 200 competitors from over 30 countries including China, Great Britain and the United States of America, Hong Kong, South Africa and Austria will battle it out at the recently completed state of the art Aquatic & Leisure Centre at Marion.
The event takes place every two years and brings together the best young divers (under 18) and provides them with the opportunity to compete at world level. The competition is divided into two age groups. Group A is for divers from 16 to 18 and Group B for divers from 14 to 15 years old.
