Where can you find an authentic Filipino feast in Adelaide?
Once a month, the Albion Hotel in Kilburn has a special Filipino Banquet. If you enjoy a multicultural food experience, with a "all you can eat" buffet style food on offer, this will be a treat for you. (The Filipino Feast is next scheduled for September 30, but in the meantime, consider the Father's Day buffet!)
This month's banquet was August 19 as there was a slight change in timetable, and I was lucky enough to be able to attend. The food was wonderful, and the staff very helpful. My friend has severe seafood allergies, so they had to prepare him a separate steak, while I attended the buffet.
On Sunday September 2, the Albion is also offering a buffet for Father's Day. Although this does not carry the exotic multicultural flavour, it sounds like great value so far as Father's day special events go. At $29.90 per adult, with children aged 12 and under only $12.90; they offer two convenient sessions: 12pm-3pm & 5pm-8pm.
September has five Sundays this year, but I have confirmed with the hotel that the Filipino Feast is scheduled for September 30. This will allow us to recover from Father's Day!
Telephone bookings are essential as the feast fills quickly. The first session commences 11:30pm and lasts until 1:30pm OR if you like to sleep in book for 1:45pm until 3:45pm! Adults are $25, 6 - 12yrs old half price (12.50). Under five years, free with accompanying parent.
