QUT eSports was established as a student project by two undergraduate psychology students who were part of the Bluebox's Accelerator 2016-2017 program. From this program QUT's start-up company named Lagswitch began and which has provided effective training programs and development pathways for esport athletes.

On Friday evenings 22nd March and 12 April 2019 from 6.00 to 8.00pm QUT's eSports are hosting " ". Already in March Super Smash Bros have enjoyed the excitement in the Arena, now its time for others to also enjoy their time on the battle field. Entry is free, open to all and you will not work away without achieving the glory of the night's events.



QUT has been the first in a lot of aspects of education and careers for the future. This purpose-built arena is Australia's first university gaming arena and is becoming the heart of the program, positioning QUT as the industry leaders in Australian eSports.

QUT eSports can be found in X Block , QUT Gardens Point Campus, Brisbane. As parking can be a problem and an expense in Brisbane City, it is probably best to take public transport to get there.
