Fifty Shades of Grey
The Trilogy

I heard about this book through many sources. I ordered it through the library at first but they gave me the wrong book. Finally, I came to understand that this was a trilogy set. So my husband bought all 3 books for me at Big W for $9.99 each.

I have just finished the first book, thus the review so far. I started reading with an open mind, to be able to absorb information and see things in a much different light. I am not displeased in any way.

I have been able to thoroughly read part one and find it much informative, with genuine and erotic detail. The biggest thing that I love about this set is simply a woman wrote it. She did not leave out anything for the imagination nor did she fail to deliver both sides of the story.

I found myself not wanting to put the book down for the simple fact I related to a few things and learn on others. Which in today's world, the view of women is still distorted to a degree. I find it fascinating to see a woman write with such passion and detail about a fantasy, a life beyond limits, a life full of passion and freely be able to give herself with every word.

My daughter came and asked me if she could read the book after I had finished. I agreed because I understand knowledge is good and learning is an experience. In the freedom of your mind and within your heart you and only you can let go and see if that's what you like or would like in your own life.

I would highly recommend this book to everyone on the face of the planet. Simply because it opens up a world away from what everyone else thinks is right. Away from the same old ordinary missionary, or I better than you complex. It is a place you can be free and search within your own self, if this would be something you would like to try or something maybe you smile just to entice in your head. Either way, the money spent on this book trilogy will not be wasted.

Being a previous unknown author of several erotic novels, I find that character was not lacking in this set, nor was every feeling and thought. Which is rare these days. We often want the black and white and guidelines for our relationship, our selves and our families, but this book has challenged me to step out from the worldly current and try something new.

To make a choice to lay down your own free will to be pleasing to your lover or spouse is the ultimate goal. Knowing that you can try it, or walk away anytime, is the main thought. But the delicious thought of love making to a different degree is by far the best for most people. It brings that added spice to your life as well as the bedroom.

I am encouraging my husband to read it as well. Simply because I love my husband and I understand this could bring a whole new game to our lives in and out of the bedroom. It brings that passion, and the wanting, desire to be all you can be to the one you love. It shows a man's place as well as a woman's, without getting tangled up by "what's right and wrong" in today's society.

I give this work of art 2 thumbs up! t is simply delicious, passionate, knowledge at it's best and brings that desire into play where some may have lost it.

You will not be disappointed.

Hey, I've been meaning to read this book and thought it was cool to see a book review on WeekendNotes. However it would be great if you could give us a brief summary of the book's storyline or synopsis. After reading your article I still have no idea what the book is about!?

I am currently on book three, and find I cant put them down either, but not just because of the eroticism, but partly it is like a train wreck. I have an interest in this male character and I despise him at the same time (it oscillates)...
and the fantasy of having your world completely change pace is intriguing...
it does make me wonder though, how old is your daughter?? (slight giggle, because there is NO way my daughter would be reading it!!!) As much as I totally agree with your knowledge comment, I do think there is an age appropriate consideration here! (not that I could guess what age it might be) I mainly point that out for those that haven't read it yet, if your kids are asking to read it, I would note that it is definitely "adult" content. Happy reading all and I hope you enjoy books 2 and 3 just as much!

I am finishing up and the second book. However, I find intrigue in this novel set because of the indepth of the whole outlook, the book, the characters, the story etc. The characters are well defined as well as the story. Altogether it makes the reader feel complete when they read them, especially one book right after the first book. I find that it is not only eye opening but it is informative. Many people do focus on the erotic parts more so than the rest of what is involved. As far as adult content, society today would have you believe that it is wrong to teach a child about sex and everything pertaining to sex. However, I do not share the world view of that in the slightest. Because not more than 50 years ago girls were being married at the age of 12 and 13 yrs of age. Though much different today. Girls are getting pregnant outside of wedlock as early as 9 and 10 years old. So, I chose a long time ago to teach my children appropriately about all aspects of sex, relationships and everything in between. Thus, the reason I am fine with my daughter reading the book if she wants too. I choose to teach my children rather them finding out through friends, or a situation that they may not understand how to control or walk away from. My daughter is a mature young lady and I trust in her judgement of books that she reads. I find when we are completely open to our children in all light then they will come talk to us about those moments that every parent doesn't want to hear about. It really is my top favorite trilogy of all time. I must say the book is splendid and I would recommend it to everyone that I know. It is absolutely and genuinely penned and a masterpiece of all times. I have enjoyed book 2 and it will be finished over the next few days, then on to book 3. I strongly suggest if you haven't read it, to READ THIS BOOK!!!(Giggling, because it will change your aspect in your own life, relationship and give you a better view point)!!! Thanks for commenting!!!

First, let me say the book has many reviews on the web. However, what intrigued me about the book was the rave reviews of how it was helping marriages across Australia. Even men are reading this book. Secondly, the book is actually a delight to read, it has everything in one place, meaning it has love, romance, of course sex and thrills as well as indepth look into both main characters. It brings you from beginning and takes you all the way to the end so to speak. The book is somewhat about a fair tale type of life with all its problems as well as adventures. The only thing I can say without giving away the book is this, I find myself and my life on some of those pages. It speaks directly, in my opinion, to the reader. It also opens doors that some may think is not a door into a world of being lost in your partner/ spouse in a way that many think but never say. It does have erotic all through out the book starting at chapter 5 in the first book. It will take you places, you will find yourself feeling the emotions and seeing things in your own relationship a little differently. Simply, it's about a relationship that may seem out of sorts but ends in a fairy tale type of way. But the highs and lows in what keeps me reading. I love the intrigue, the depth, the openness, the mind blowing sex, the heart felt communication between the main characters when you initially think they are not going to have that type of relationship. So, its a book that has it all, as I said all the ups and downs, the love, the sex, the thrills, the whole picture. One I honestly think everyone should read at least once, whether married, partnered or single. It is a real eye opener and it will tug at your heart. I hope that answers your question Alyssa!!! Oh Yes, my favorite thing about the book is the feeling of being a school girl and the giggles you have through the book. Cheers
