Fifteen Melbourne opened in a blaze of publicity back in 2006 and today it's very much a loved Melbourne establishment, which offers a unique dining experience, whether guests are after a simple yet scrumptious lunch at the bar, a low-key dinner or the full monty - a 6 Course Degustation.
The brainchild of the internationally renowned British Chef and media personality Jamie Oliver, Fifteen Melbourne is now one of four international branches which train disadvantaged youths (aged 18-24), into skilled chefs. The restaurant is located in a laneway (enter via George Parade), and guests descend into the basement where they will be greeted by Fifteen's gracious, attentive and accommodating staff.
Head Chef David Kapay and Executive Chef Tobie Puttock's kitchen features a daily seasonal menu – inspired by Oliver's love of Italian cuisine. There are many monthly specials guests can take advantage of and bookings are required. Fifteen Melbourne proves to be a truly memorable experience, with a surprisingly relaxed atmosphere, it's a great place to celebrate with family and friends and most importantly the clean and fresh cuisine is superb.
