Enjoy the best selection of events including maestro information sessions, lunchtime concerts, opera audition as well as top-notch performances by Australia's best musicians. There are plenty of free sessions where you can just turn up and enjoy the music in addition to ticketed events.

For those who enjoy piano music allow Max Olding and Pamela Page (aka Australia's king and queen of the piano) to wow you with their extraordinary performance of two virtuoso works - Sonata for two pianos in D Major K. 488 by Mozart and Liszt's Sonata in b minor on Friday 28 March.
Attend the free Young Pianists Jam Session on Sunday 6 April and witness the skills and techniques these piano students possess whilst listening to beautiful music.
Love Songs and Waltzes is a free concert on Sunday 13 April featuring works from the Romantic era. Pianists Patricia Favaloro and Jennifer Newomb unite with vocalists Sandra Nissen, Louise Sadler, Kira Alexander, Jess Martens and Justeen Chan to bring you a session of exquisite music.
Love JS Bach's Orchestral Suite No 1, Saint-Saen's Piano Concerto No 2 and Beethoven's Symphony No 7? Then come and learn more about these works at Monday Maestro with David McNeven on Monday 31 March. This free session focuses on how these works correlate with the Baroque, C0lassical and Romantic periods as well as themes and compositional ideas of these works.

Head to the Arts Cafe for a scrumptious lunch and allow the Gold Coast Youth Orchestra to entertain you on Tuesdays 8 & 9, and Wednesdays 15 & 16 April. This free concert showcases the next generation of musicians so don't miss out.
Prepare to be delighted at A Touch of Tango on Friday 2 May with an eclectic mix of classics and contemporary music performed by the Gold Coast Chamber Ensemble. The program includes Mozart's Divertimento in D Major, Vivaldi's Winter from The Four Seasons, Meditation from Thais by Massnenet, and Skallkottas' Greek Dances, among others.
Enjoy another free lunchtime concert featuring Carisma, a trio of flute, harp and cello from Brisbane on Thursday 17 April. The program consists of various fantastic contemporary Australian repertoire including Carisma by Sharny Russell, The Night Gently Waits by Sean O'Boyle, Sunda Song by Betty Beath, Serenade by May Mageau and Reclaiming the Spirit by Sarah Hopkins. Plus, Betty Beath and Sarah Hopkins will be there to chat with the crowd.
If you love opera then you'll love An Opera Gala on Saturday 5 April. Featuring opera students from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, this fantastic concert showcases an array of opera, operetta and music theatre favourites including Verdi, Mozart, Rodgers and Hammerstein and Lehár.
Like singing? Then you should go audition for the chorus of Opera Queensland's production of La Bohčme between Monday 7 and Wednesday 9 April. This is an excellent opportunity for volunteer singers who's had singing experience. You don't have to be trained in opera at all so book your audition now!
Know the ins and outs of ballet and dance at Monday Maestro with Georgia Canning on Monday 7 April. You'll hear about the interesting development of the ballet in the 21st century and even see demonstrations of technique and form during this free session.
Don't miss out on Don Quixote, a festive ballet brought to you by The Imperial Russian Ballet Company. This tells the story about Don Quixote's journey in Spain in search for glory and adventure. Appearing for two shows only on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 April, this flamboyant ballet is a must-see.
