Event:
On October 10th New Farm Park will become "il nuovo parco di fattoria" as Fieritalia comes to town.

This spring festival, organised by the Italian Australian Welfare Association offers a day of celebrating the contribution Italian culture makes to Australia.

The festival usually attracts a large crowd (20,000 people) and there is one thing in particular they come forů

You can't celebrate Italian culture without food and there will certainly be plenty of it. Woodfired pizzas, delicious pasta dishes to start, biscotti, cannoli and Italian ice creams for desert.

After all that delicious food you can wash it down with your favorite beverage in the Italian Beer Garden.

It's not all about the food and drink though. There will be musician and performers entertaining all day as well as games and a language spot for those who wish to learn a bit of Italian.

There are competitions, rides and face painting available to keep the young ones happy and dad will love the exhibition from The Fiat Club of Queensland with the new Italian Fiat and Alfa Romeo models making an appearance as will as some more vintage numbers. And talking of vintages, why not try a wine tasting at the Keglevic and Gancia Marque.

One of the highlights of the day is sure to be the historical re-enactments of Condottieri. Their authentic recreations of 15th century Italian mercenaries should to bring a smile to faces both young and old.

Bring a rug and spend the day relaxing in the park enjoy all that Italian culture has to offer.

Life is indeed sweet.
