While as a city Melbourne is lucky (despite the popular stereotype) to not receive all that much annual rainfall when compared to other cities, like anywhere in the world blue skies are surely the ideal over grey clouds more often than not.
When it does rain though there is two choices Melburnians face: stay indoors or go out and have fun in it. For those who aspire to charge on in the latter a visit to FG Tricks reserve is well worth it.
The great thing about this park is from afar it looks just like a (nice certainly) but otherwise regular green space. Upon closer inspection though you find a layout that holds a wide winding path steeped in gorgeous trees, with a rich variety of fauna scattered in its surrounds.
In this regard, the Reserve is reminiscent of a little private garden or field tucked away in a suburb or old town of a European city. Further, alongside the enviroment alone, the facilities are also great.
With a playground, a tennis wall, a number of wide open patches to master a handstand or cartwheel, and even a number of bike lanes and routes in the surrounds for those who come with their kids and aspire to ride to and from the Reserve.
